Does This Look Like The Face of Jon Lennon’s Killer Up For Parole?
Mark David Chapman, the man who shot Jon Lennon in the back four times outside his New York City apartment, is up for parole.
Chapman pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to twenty years to life. Now 57, Chapman has been up for release 6 times and has been turned down each time. The results of this year’s parole attempt will be released at the end of the week after a series of interviews performed at the Wende Correctional Facility, a maximum-security prison in Alden, New York, where Chapman is currently held.
Yoko Ono has famously been against his release, saying she fears for her life and for that of her children. [BBC]
