Day 10: London Games!
Team USA basketball back in action today, after beating Nigeria by 83 points, they then played Lithuania two days later and won by only 5 points.
Lithuania played very well on defense bringing down the USA shooting percentage, the dream team II, shot 54% for 2-pts, and 30% for 3-pts. USA also wasn’t very good from the free throw line shooting 61% making only 16 of 31 attempts.
LeBron James had a big 4th quarter helping USA to the win with 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.
Kevin Durant had 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals.
Carmelo Anthony had 20 points, 2 assists, and 3 rebounds.
Today they play against Argentina at 5 p.m. on NBC sports. It will be the last game of the 1st round and USA looks to stay undefeated for the top spot.
Soccer: Team USA women’s soccer has made to the semifinals, and will taken Canada at 2:45 p.m.. The ladies are looking for there 2nd straight gold medal , when in 2008 they won and beat Brazil. The ladies haven’t given up a goal in there last 3 matches played. Looks like theirs a good chance of them reaching the finals again.
Beach Volleyball: Men’s team of Jake Gibb and Sean Rosenthal take to the beach in Quaterfinal action today at 2:00 p.m.. They take on an undefeated Latvia team that should give them a run for there money. This will be a tough test for the men.
Track & Field: Men’s 400m final, 4oom Hurdle final, and also women’s shot put final, pole vault final, women’s 200m round 1, and women’s semifinal 400m hurdles.
